The artist has handed over the entirety of his £25k honor prize money to the Music Venues Trust, which works to protect the United Kingdom's small concert spaces.

He was awarded the prize on 16 October as his latest record his work was declared the top album of the last 12 months.

The musician has chosen to give the cash to the trust, in acknowledgment of the crucial part local spots played in his early career.

"I personally would not have achieved this success if it hadn't been for all the shows I did around the region, and elsewhere, when I was starting out," stated Fender. "These locations are legendary, but they are facing challenges."

From early 2023 onward, at least 150 of these spaces have ceased operations – approximately 16% of the whole industry in the UK.

Recently, well-known musicians like the band Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all aided the MVT in its attempts to support the industry, by applying a minor surcharge to their ticket prices, which supports smaller concert halls.

He also participated, collecting in excess of £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to support numerous small stages across England, Scotland, and Wales.

The money supported locations that were dealing with imminent closure due to difficulties stemming from flooding, blazes and family tragedies, as well as licensing issues, court cases and noise complaints.

Other venues obtained funding support in modernizing infrastructure and technical equipment that positively impacted artists and audiences.

"The idea that revenue from shows in large arenas supports the smaller venues, where it all starts for performers like me, is just common sense," the star has commented.

"I also gave a thousand pounds to the center, to their gymnastics program, because I did gymnastics when I was a child and they needed new equipment," Ms Dynamite told a publication.

Also the 1994 recipients they contributed their winnings to a MS organization after a acquaintance was identified with the condition.

"The victory was sufficient," said artist Small. "The money was the extra but we didn't need the bonus, because we had the honor. So our winning touched the lives of others."

Recently, the MVT announced it had protected several small stages in south-east England, by bringing them into community ownership.

One venue in that area and the second in the city were purchased under the Own Our Venues initiative, which is supported by the arts council and supporters who buy "ownership units" in the venues.
